Expected Hiring Range Minimum: $50,000.00

Expected Hiring Range Maximum: $60,000.00

The Administrative Assistant will provide essential logistical and organizational support to the Research Development team within Boston University’s Office of Research. This position reports to the Director of Research Development and serves as a key resource for ensuring smooth operations and effective communication within the Research Development unit. The Administrative Assistant will manage the Research Development inbox, triaging inquiries and ensuring timely responses and follow‑up. The position requires coordinating and maintaining the Director of Research Development’s calendar, including scheduling and prioritizing meetings and commitments. The assistant will organize and maintain RD shared drives and file structures to ensure clear, consistent, and accessible document management across the unit. The position includes planning and coordinating meetings, events, and webinars, managing logistics such as scheduling, materials preparation, room reservations, and virtual set‑up. The assistant will support visits and engagements with external partners and guests, including coordinating space, catering, and on‑site logistics to facilitate productive meetings and partnerships. The Administrative Assistant will process reimbursements and manage purchasing activities for the RD team, including tracking expenses on departmental or company cards. Additionally, the position involves tracking and managing Office of Research subscriptions, including monitoring renewals, pricing, and vendor communications to ensure cost‑effective resource management.

Required Skills
