Job summary

Virginia Military Institute's Miller Academic Center seeks an Administrative Assistant III to support daily operations and ensure smooth program delivery.

You will manage MAC databases, handle confidential records, assist with tutor training, and prepare training materials. The role involves processing purchasing and travel paperwork, updating the MAC website and social media, and coordinating with the Registrar and other units as required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for day-to-day operations of the MAC.

Job Duties
  • Provides administrative support for day-to-day operations of the MAC and its programs;
  • Manages MAC database systems and confidential records and routinely compiles information for administrative reports and updates, in collaboration with the Registrar and other units as required;
  • Assists with training, management, and evaluation of the MAC’s peer tutors;
  • Designs and produces training materials and other documents as needed in support of MAC programs;
  • Processes purchasing, travel, and other fiscal paperwork in keeping with VMI Comptroller’s office guidelines;
  • Maintains the Miller Academic Center webpage and social media accounts;
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director.
