The Administrative Assistant II for Workforce & Community Education is a key member of the team, ensuring the department operates efficiently and professionally. This position manages the department’s reception desk and student employees, who often serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers. The Administrative Assistant II provides guidance to student employees and steps in to assist with calls, visitors, or questions as needed, ensuring a welcoming experience.
Success in this role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, professionalism, a positive and team-oriented attitude, strong computer skills, and a willingness to learn new technologies and software.
This position supports the department administratively and through the essential functions and duties listed below.
Associate’s degree from an accredited institution or 1-3 years of experience in an office setting
Other duties as assigned. Duties must be performed on the John A. Logan College campus or designated location.
