Liberty University’s CASAS lobby seeks an Administrative Assistant for a full-time, twelve-month staff role in the College of Applied Studies & Academic Success. You will greet visitors, manage front desk operations, and coordinate with campus departments while supervising student workers.

Provide excellent customer service, handle calls and emails, and analyze front desk data to improve operations. Must work well under pressure and uphold LU policies.

Working independently and exercising good judgment and discretion,the Administrative Assistant is responsible for greeting andassisting visitors to the CASAS lobby and overseeing front deskoperations.

This position is a full-time, twelve-month, staff position in theCollege of Applied Studies & Academic Success. This individualreports to the Director of Operations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service by serving as the firstpoint of contact for concerns, issues, or questions presented bystudents, parents, faculty, or alumni.
  • Greet visitors and interact positively and professionally withall who enter the office.
  • Manage Swiper check-in at the front desk.
  • Organize and facilitate collaboration and communication withother university departments to stay abreast of any changes inLiberty departments and services.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to voicemails for CASAS’ mainline; properly route calls to different departments whenneeded.
  • Monitor and provide timely responses to emails received in theCASAS inbox; forward emails to different departments asneeded.
  • Review and analyze data and reports related to front deskoperations (such as Swiper use and most common front deskquestions). Summarize findings and provide recommendations orinsights.
  • Supervise multiple student workers; provide training to ensuresituations are appropriately managed. Provide support and feedbackas needed.
  • Oversee scheduling and hours of student worker team.
  • Coordinate and moderate the CASAS Lobby Microsoft Teamsgroup.
  • Assist with preparation and implementation of CASAS lobbyevents and tabling.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
  • Strictly adheres to Liberty University policies, representingthe University in an exemplary manner.
  • Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fosteringLU’s mission.

This position supervises a team of student workers.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Education and Experience
  • 2+ years' administrative experience.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively as a team member and cultivatepositive working relationships with individuals at all levels ofthe organization.
  • Able to work well under pressure, independently manage multipletasks and projects with competing priorities and deadlines, andmeet deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, andOutlook).

  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writingto convey clear, well articulated information.

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to moveabout the campus.
  • Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop in order toconduct business.
  • Regularly lift 10 or fewer pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work Environment

The working environment in which one will typically perform theessential functions of this position is a climate-controlledsetting. It is well lit, and the noise level is moderate. Workingenvironment may include facilitation of events outdoorsoccasionally.

If the employee is required to travel in performing the duties andresponsibilities of the position, the use of one’s personal vehicle(or LU vehicles) may be required for travel. Proof of a validdriver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, LU Driving Approval,and liability insurance is required when driving in the performanceof the employee’s position.

Pay Range

Compensation is determined based on factors such as qualifications,experience, education, skills, and certifications, along withUniversity needs and external market conditions. Market benchmarksmay be used, as appropriate, in combination with internal equity toensure pay is fair and aligned with the broader compensationstructure.

The position may also be eligible for comprehensivebenefits , including health insurance, retirement plans, andtuition assistance.

$18.27 - $21.15
