Job summary

Agropur Cooperative—Little Chute, WI plant—is seeking an Administrative Assistant I to provide essential support to multiple departments and ensure smooth daily operations. You will collect and organize information, communicate with customers, vendors and producers, and assist with general office tasks.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7am–3pm; 3 weeks PTO from day 1; comprehensive benefits; opportunities for advancement in a growing dairy cooperative.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support to management and supervisors including: reporting, processing and reconciliations, document and presentation preparation, customer service, and other projects and duties as assigned.
  • Perform various reception duties including: coordinating guest visits/security key cards, answering phones and properly directing callers, preparing for meetings or tours, and handling inbound and outbound mail/UPS/FedEx and tracking.
  • May support Information Technology, Finance and manufacturing Operations including, but not limited to: shipping, scheduling, inventories, purchasing, receiving, payables and maintenance in an administrative capacity.
  • May assist with the facility’s Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable activities, including vouchering and entry.
  • Serve as back-up to other administrative roles.
  • Attend meetings, preparing agenda and doing minutes as directed.
  • Inventory, order and stock office, breakroom and conference room supplies as appropriate.
  • Maintain content of video displays in common areas.
  • Handle vendor questions and follow-up as directed.
  • Fill cheese orders for employees, producers and walk in customers as applicable by location.

What you’ll be responsible for each day

The Administrative Assistant I provides administrative support to various departments; collecting and organizing information, effectively communicating with internal and external customers, vendors and producers; contributing to the smooth operation of the department.

Other Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work independently or with a team on special/seasonal projects as needed.

Education Required

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred.

Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

Experience Required

Minimum one (1) year of experience with similar functions preferred.

Where you’ll be working

Our Little Chute, WI, plant is home to about 140 employees. This facility is a top manufacturer of IQF sticks that are supplied to the appetizer industry. Next to the plant is our well-known Simon’s Specialty Cheese store, which has about 20 employees. Simon’s is a Wisconsin-themed store, with everything from meats and cheese to clothing and craft spirits.
