Karber Corporation is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the Human Resources and Payroll team in Phoenix. The role focuses on onboarding, benefits administration, payroll processing, and HRIS tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow in HR and Payroll, with strong customer service and confidentiality. On-site work with a Monday–Friday schedule. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years of administrative, office support, or clerical experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with confidentiality.
  • Preferred experience with HR/payroll-related systems and bilingual ability.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for the HR and Payroll team.
  • Maintain employee records and update information in HR systems.
  • Coordinate onboarding, data entry, and employment documentation.
  • Support payroll processing, reporting, audits, and recordkeeping.
  • Handle employment verifications, garnishments, and unemployment requests.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and departmental documentation.
  • Schedule interviews, meetings, orientations, and training.
  • Respond to routine employee inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Provide backup front desk coverage and assist with office operations and events.

Human Resources & Payroll Administration

  • Provide administrative support for the Human Resources & Payroll department.
  • Maintain employee records and update information in ADP Workforce Now (WFN).
  • Coordinate onboarding, data entry, employee status changes, and employment documentation.
  • Support payroll processing, reporting, audits, and recordkeeping.
  • Process employment verifications, garnishments, and unemployment requests.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and departmental documentation.
  • Schedule interviews, meetings, orientations, and training sessions.
  • Respond to routine employee inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Provide backup front desk reception coverage and assist with office operations, facilities, and company events.
  • Support special projects within department and other administrative duties as assigned.
