Garden City Community College seeks an IT Administrative Services role to provide support across the IT Department and campus. The position collaborates with IT staff, faculty, and staff to meet campus needs and objectives, performing clerical duties and ensuring smooth service delivery.
Responsibilities include answering questions, coordinating IT requests, budgeting updates, procurement, and vendor relations. Two to five years of related experience and a high school diploma or GED are required.
Role:
To provide administrative services to support all aspects of the IT Department. This position collaborates and communicates with all members of the IT Department, as well as faculty and staff across campus, to assist with meeting the needs and objectives of the campus community.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Two years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: Work regularly involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information regarding various projects within the IT Department which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (students, visitors or vendors) requiring ordinary courtesy in providing information and discussion.
Other Skills: Knowledge and experience with governance procedures. Strong organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Well versed in the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand or sit for extended periods; speak and hear clearly in group settings and at distances of 30 feet; maintain physical mobility, alertness, and composure; utilize appropriate presentation materials and equipment; and transport self and equipment to various campus/community/area sites as needed.
Work Environment: Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a normal office.
