CLASS DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of the Principal, the Administrative Assistant performs a variety of administrative and support work, which requires broad knowledge of practices and procedures. Serves as administrative assistant to the school principal and staff. This position requires a thorough knowledge of all school functions, procedures, building facilities, and applicable district and school rules, regulations, and policies. Greets and interacts with the public, and works cooperatively with staff, students, and parents.

Myron J. Francis School is a high performing elementary school! The fabulous faculty and staff work very hard every day to ensure that the students receive the best possible education.Francis School has approximately 400 students and a faculty and staff of about 50 adults. We are located in the Rumford section of East Providence, nestled in between the Agawam Hunt Country Club and the Wannamoisett Country Club. Rumford has many historic places including Roger Williams Spring and the Hunt House.We also have an excellent PTO. The Parent Teacher Organization is an active and involved group of parents and school community members. There are many family orientated events that happen during the year. The PTO is dedicated to enriching the students' school experience.
