ARC Health Partners in Orlando, FL is seeking an Administrative Assistant in Clinical Support to help run the day-to-day operations of a busy healthcare office.

You will handle phones, scheduling, records management, patient access, and assist with billing and verification of benefits, ensuring compliant and smooth patient care. This in-person role offers a Monday-Thursday schedule with Fridays, competitive hourly pay, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
  • 2 years of administrative assistant experience required.
  • Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage back office operations: phones, scheduling and screening new patient calls.
  • Maintain and organize patient records with confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare patient accounts: verify insurance, eligibility and benefits.
  • Assist in medical billing, insurance claims, and financial documentation.
  • Handle data entry, scanning and filing; support clinical staff with supplies.
  • Coordinate referrals, appointments, and patient care plan documentation.
  • Enter and maintain patient data in EHR or healthcare information systems.
  • Generate reports and correspondence; support quality assurance and patient service.

Administrative Assistant - Clinical Support

Location: This is an in person position based out of Orlando, FL

Professional Area: Non Clinical, Admin Dept

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:15pm, Friday 8:30am-4:00pm

Compensation: $18-20/hr, paid bi-weekly

Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Job Summary

As an Administrative Assistant in Clinical Support, you play a vital role in facilitating the efficient operation of a healthcare environment. Your responsibilities include managing administrative tasks, supporting clinical staff, and ensuring the smooth flow of patient care. Your efforts directly contribute to the quality of healthcare services provided in the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage back office operations, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and screening and scheduling all new patient calls.
  • Maintain and organize patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Prepare patient accounts by ensuring insurance on file is accurate, the patient is eligible for coverage, and verification of benefits.
  • Assist in managing medical billing, insurance claims, and other financial documentation.
  • Handle general clerical tasks, such as data entry, scanning, and filing.
  • Support clinical staff by ensuring the availability of necessary supplies.
  • Assist in taking patient medical histories for new patient appointments.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to obtain information and provide instructions.
  • Facilitate patient flow and appointment scheduling for all services provided in the office.
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, clinical staff, and other healthcare providers.
  • Coordinate referrals to specialists, diagnostic tests, and follow-up appointments.
  • Assist in maintaining communication and documentation for patient care plans.
  • Assistant clinical staff in the submission of medication prior authorizations
  • Enter and maintain patient data in electronic health records (EHR) or other healthcare information systems.
  • Generate reports, correspondence, and other documentation as required.
  • Assist in quality assurance processes, including data accuracy and compliance checks.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Create a welcoming and patient-centered environment within the clinical area.
  • Offer support and information to patients and their families.
  • Direct experience supporting clinicians with day-to-day tasks
  • Knowledge of insurance verification processes
  • Experience using practice management software
  • Comfort speaking with patients over the phone
  • Experience completing intakes and scheduling new patients
  • Other duties as assigned
Compensation & Benefits
  • Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour; paid bi-weekly

Requirements

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.

Experience:

  • 2 years of administrative assistant experience required.
  • Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, sit, and move for extended periods during the workday.
  • Manual dexterity for handling paperwork, medical equipment, and electronic devices.
  • Visual acuity and hearing ability to communicate with patients and colleagues.
  • Lifting and carrying of moderate weight items such as office supplies and equipment.
  • Exposure to standard office and clinical conditions, including contact with patients
