The Administrative Assistant plays a critical role in supporting the Clinical Quality Team through document management, meeting coordination, provider engagement activities, and quality assurance support. This position helps ensure the department operates efficiently while contributing to initiatives that improve member care and outcomes.

Manage and organize departmental documentation and records for the Clinical Quality Team
Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and document meeting minutes
Assist with provider meeting coordination, including Quality Collaboratives, cross-functional workgroups, and partnerships with local health departments
Support NCQA accreditation activities and documentation efforts
Assist with medical record procurement and clinical quality case reviews
Monitor inboxes and route communications to Clinical Quality Nurses as needed
Support Clinical Quality Nurses in monitoring MHK queues, subtasks, and case due dates
Maintain databases, reports, and tracking systems for quality initiatives
Handle internal and external correspondence with providers, partners, and stakeholders
Support quality assurance programs, audits, inspections, and compliance activities
Perform general administrative duties including filing, copying, and phone support
Complete additional projects and responsibilities as assigned

Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
1-2 years of administrative assistant experience or related experience
Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
Ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
Experience in healthcare, health plans, or clinical settings
Familiarity with quality assurance processes and documentation
Experience with medical records, audits, or accreditation activities

This is a Contract position based out of Santa Barbara, CA.
The pay range for this position is $26.50 - $27.50/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
