Under the general supervision of the Director and/or Assistant Director of Natural Resources, the Administrative Assistant manages staff timekeeping, accounting, submitter procedures, and resolves time/leave problems. Prepares purchase requisitions for procurement and processes requisitions through the Tribal Microix data system in coordination with the Tribal Financial Department. Assists the Department with compliance with the Revised 2022 Hualapai Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual, processing Personnel Action (PA) documents for submission to Human Resources, including requests, and performance standards/evaluations. Responsible for the preparation of travel authorizations and expense claims for office personnel and reviews all travel documents for accuracy and compliance with travel regulations. Prepares draft and final correspondence. Facilitates outgoing correspondence from Staff for signature by the Department Director or Tribal Chairperson. Maintains records and files of all correspondence with the Department and tracks all Agency correspondence. Receives calls, greets visitors, and refers inquiries to appropriate staff members. Receives and reviews mail for the Department and routes it to the appropriate staff member. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for completing other duties as assigned.
