Job summary

Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) seeks an Administrative Assistant to support the Trager Lemp Center for Trauma and Resilience (TLC) program. You will handle administrative tasks, coordinate referrals, manage records, and assist with day-to-day operations.

Requirements include an Associate’s degree or 5 years of experience, exceptional organization and customer service, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • Good knowledge of community resources and their use.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing (bilingual skills a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Receive and screen all incoming referral calls for the TLC program
  • Coordinate and track referrals from providers and community agencies
  • Assist with assigning cases to clinicians and ensuring a smooth coordination process
  • Enter referral information in the Electronic Health Record
  • Maintain referral databases and provide statistical data to supervisors and grantors
  • Support day‑to‑day operations of the TLC program, including creating training and policy binders, article binders, and ordering supplies and materials
  • Assist with grant requirements and duties
  • Regularly attend team meetings, take minutes, coordinate meetings, and coordinate client requests
  • Manage requests for records and documentation from outside agencies
  • Maintain records to conform to agency policies, procedures, and regulatory agency directives
  • Assist with special projects or ad‑hoc tasks and run reports
  • Copy, file, report, and maintain records

Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) is an award-winning nonprofit, nonsectarian human services organization founded in 1943. Today, it has grown to be the largest provider of licensed outpatient community behavioral health services and one of the largest human service agencies in Westchester County. WJCS delivers innovative programs and services and compassionate care to more than 20,000 people of all ages and backgrounds throughout the county.

We are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team at the Trager Lemp Center for Trauma and Resilience (TLC) program. In this role, you will be responsible for administrative support for the TLC program.

The salary range for this full‑time position is $53,000 - $57,000.
