Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Performs secretarial duties for the Department Manager including filing, phones, and messages.
  • Types, copies, and composes routine correspondence and meeting minutes.
  • Distributes mail and maintains filing systems.
  • Answers phones and provides information about the department and facility.
  • Prepares summaries and reports; completes special projects as assigned by the Department Manager.
  • Maintains regular attendance and performs other duties as required.

Calusa Country Club, located in Bradenton, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Administrative Assistant! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

General Purpose

Performs secretarial and administrative duties in association with and as directed by the Department Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs various secretarial duties for the Department Manager, such as filing, answering phones and taking messages, and other similar tasks
  • Performs clerical duties that may include typing, copying, composing routine correspondence, and taking minutes at meetings
  • Distributes daily mail and maintains the filing system
  • Answers the telephone and assists the general public with information about the department and/or facility
  • Prepares summaries and reports
  • Completes special projects and related duties as assigned by the Department Manager
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance
  • Performs other duties as required
Education/Experience

Required: Prior HOA/Living Community, Resort or club experience.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands

Typical office environment; occasionally stands and walks; frequently sits. Typically requires routine use of a personal computer and general office equipment.

Noise level is moderate.

  • Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g., associates may be required to communicate with English-speaking customers or co-workers; equipment manuals may be in English)

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing; ability to compose letters and to facilitate phone calls and general inquiries sensibly
