Harris County District Attorney's Office seeks an Administrative Assistant for the Appellate Division to provide comprehensive administrative and legal support. The Administrative Assistant assigned to the Appellate Division reports to one Bureau Chief and one Division Chief provides administrative support to thirteen appellate prosecutors and assists one intern. This position performs a wide range of administrative and legal support duties including serving as a receptionist preparing and formatting legal documents managing correspondence maintaining clerical and electronic filing systems and providing general administrative support. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for maintaining accurate records including electronic files related to direct appeals and ensuring the timely receipt distribution and tracking of correspondence court opinions and other case related materials. When needed the Administrative Assistant assigned to the Appellate Division provides telephone coverage for the Post Conviction Writs PCW Divisions. Administrative Assistant. This position is also responsible for maintaining office supply inventory coordinating office supply orders office equipment and arranging service when necessary.
This is a full time in person position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Hours may vary based on the business needs of the department.
