Essex County District Attorney’s Office is seeking an Appeals Division Administrative Assistant to provide essential administrative support to the appeals unit. The role involves inputting case information into DAMION, preparing briefs for appellate courts, filing documents, and managing both digital and physical files.
The successful candidate will communicate professionally with court personnel and attorneys, handle mail flows, and assist with front reception as needed.
Appeals Division Administrative Assistant
The Appeals Division Administrative Assistant works under the supervision of the Clerical Supervisor and the Appeals Division Chief to provide general support functions to the Appeals Division, a ten-attorney unit of the District Attorney’s Office. The Appeals Division Administrative Assistant is an employee of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and serves at the pleasure of the District Attorney.
Primary Responsibilities
Also, the Appeals Division Administrative Assistant performs whatever other duties at whatever job-site as may from time to time be assigned to her/him by the District Attorney, or the Clerical Supervisor or other designee of the District Attorney. The essential functions of the position require the effective ability to receive and distribute information in written, oral, and electronic form, in the English language.
