Job summary

Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, is seeking an Administrative Analyst to provide analytical and technical support to the Director of Residential Student Experience and senior staff. The role covers budget support, data analytics, and reporting, advising on programmatic goals, and coordinating initiatives within a busy student affairs department.

The position is full-time with comprehensive benefits, including CalPERS retirement and healthcare.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of administrative concepts, practices, and procedures for researching, developing, and evaluating policies, procedures, and programs, including data collection, evaluation, and interpretation.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to set own priorities to coordinate multiple assignments with fluctuating and time-sensitive deadlines.
• Ability to learn, interpret, and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures relating to and impacting the applicable program, organizational unit, and/or administrative specialty.
• Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to understand issues and assess impact from a broad, strategic perspective.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical and technical support to the Director of Residential Student Experience and senior staff.
• Assist with budget support, assessment, data analytics, and reporting for the department.
• Advise senior staff on programmatic goals and policy matters and coordinate projects and initiatives.
• Serve as an internal resource on policy and procedural matters.
