Job summary

Flagler County is seeking a General Services Manager of Administration to oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and staff supervision within the General Services Department. Qualifications

• Must possess associate’s degree. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Must possess 5 years’ experience in administrative work.
• 3 years’ experience in accounting and/or finance preferred.
• Must possess 3 years supervisory experience.
• Must possess a valid State of Florida driver’s license.
• Any equivalent combination of related training, education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, administer and monitor the General Services Department’s annual operating and projects budgets.
• Coordinate preparation of annual budget estimates, supporting docs, financial projections and submissions.
• Monitor departmental budgets, revenues, encumbrances and expenditures for compliance.
• Analyze budget performance and communicate concerns to leadership.
• Prepare financial reports, expenditure analyses, budgets summaries and forecasts.
• Prepare reports, presentations and recommendations for leadership and Board.
• Supervise administrative staff and ensure efficient office operations and policy compliance.
• Represent the department in inter-departmental meetings and external engagements.
