- 2. Coordinate work units, relay difficult assignments, messages and other information from the
SBDC State Director to appropriate work unit, follow up on work in progress to ensure timely
action, and evaluates work and counsels employees. - 3. Manage budget, recommend budget items, coordinate submission of proposals to various local
and federal agencies, monitor project activities and expenditures, approve purchases and
payments, and maintains records of expenditures. - 4. Prepare quarterly, semi-annual, and annual SBA financial reports, and oversee all audits
and financial examinations. - 5. Administer policy, review and approve documents prepared for SBDC State Director’s signature,
assemble and maintains policy decisions and guidelines made by SBDC State Director as it
relates to the University. - 6. Monitor staff recruitment, review all personnel documents for the SBCD State Director, develop
procedures for monitoring and verifying annual employee procedures, conduct verification on all
personnel documents submitted for SBDC State Director’s approval, and serve on search
committees. - 7. Supervise staff, select and train staff, plan, schedule and assign work, initiate disciplinary action,
approve time sheets and leave requests. - 8. Provide administrative, financial and technical support to the VI SBDC .

Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
Master’s degree in related field and four (4) years of higher education administration experience – or –
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and seven (7) years of higher education administration experience.
