KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Service Department Cashier supports an accurate, welcoming, and efficient customer
• Welcome service customers and direct them to the appropriate service advisor when assistance is needed.
• Review repair orders and invoices for completeness before collecting payment; bring questions or discrepancies to the service advisor.
• Process cash, credit card, debit card, check, and other dealership-approved forms of payment accurately.
• Explain invoice totals and payment details clearly, and refer questions about recommended or completed repairs to the service advisor.
• Complete cashiering steps and update or finalize repair orders in the dealership DMS according to established procedures.
• Balance the cash drawer and reconcile payment records at the end of each shift; promptly report any variance.
• Process refunds, voids, and payment adjustments only with the required authorization.
• Coordinate with service advisors and other departments to resolve billing or payment issues and keep customer checkout moving.
• Protect customer and payment information and follow dealership cash-handling and payment-security procedures.
• Keep the cashier area organized and professional, and maintain a courteous, calm
