DESCRIPTION

The Administrative, Clinical, and Surgical Care Coordinator is a high level position providing executive support including Administrative, Academic, Projects, Clinical, and Surgical Care Coordination. This position supports will support Thoracic Surgical Oncology Faculty members of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Division within the Cardiovascular Institute (CVI).

Involves managing or performing the administrative services or managing the full general operations of an academic or non-academic organization(s). Administrative services include activities in finance and human resources and may also include IT, facilities, or student services. General management activities include long and short range strategic planning in determining the mission and directing all activities of multi-disciplinary departments through subordinate management staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Six (6) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area plus two (2) years of related experience/training.
  • Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff verbally and in writing.
  • Solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.
  • Working knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs.
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge of UCSD Systems including, Concur, Oracle, UC Path, ARC, UC Health HR, Ecotime, UC Service Now, Cisco, Epic, BLINK.
  • Knowledge of UCSD policies and procedures, including the willingness to understand and enforce these policies when required.
  • Knowledge with intermediate skills level working with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe-PDF, etc.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $71,806 - $110,977 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $34.39 - $53.15

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
