Job summary

Lonestar Truck Group is seeking a diligent Cashier to process payments for work and parts, reconcile invoices, and ensure accurate cash handling in the dealership.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to read invoices, provide receipts, and perform related administrative tasks. Experience with basic math and customer service is preferred in a fast-paced service environment.

Purpose of Position

The Cashier is responsible for processing payments for work completed or purchase of parts requests, proper reconciliation of repair orders and parts invoices and the collection of money for Parts and Service transactions I the dealership.

Essential Job Functions

• Inspect repair orders and/or parts invoice for proper completion and accuracy.
• Collect the total retail charges from the customer in cash, check or authorized charge account.
• Provide the customer with the proper change and receipt.
• Complete any accounting tasks associated with the repair order or invoice.
• Answer the telephone, transfer calls to people requested or best suited to take the calls, and take messages when the needed personnel are not available.
• Ensure that customer complaints are handled promptly and referred to the person best suited to handle the complaint.
• Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare or integrity of the dealership, it employees, or customers.
• Perform any other administrative tasks including Receptionist duties as directed by management.

Required Skills/ Abilities

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
