SUMMARY: The Wellness Center offers a range of vital services and support to help students achieve physical and emotional wellness. Whether they need physical or mental health advice, assistance in a crisis, tips for managing stress or care for a specific illness or condition our helpful and experienced staff members are here to serve. The Administrative Assistants of the Wellness Center serve as the first point of contact for all students seeking services. The admin team prioritize customer service and active listening skills to assess the needs of our students, many of whom have not interacted with the health care system on their own. This efficient and effective team is the key to our highly successful office culture. We are looking for equity-minded applicants who demonstrate a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds present in our community.

$2,152.54 bi-weekly (Grade 15 Step 1)

TOUR OF DUTY: 8:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday (with Saturday and Sunday as days off) (Subject to Change). This is a non-essential position. This is a Full-time, 12 month, AFSCME unit position and is subject to the terms of that union agreement.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must have at least (A) two years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience in office management, office administration, business administration or business management, the major duties of which included one or more of the following functions: purchasing, personnel management, budgeting, accounting, records management, work simplification, grants management, contract administration or programManagement, (B) Any Equivalent Combination Of The Required Experience and the substitutions below: An Associates or higher degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for the required experience. An Associates or higher degree with a major other than in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.

Experience working in higher education. Experience working with electronic medical records. Knowledge of the principles and practices of office management. Ability to analyze and determine the applicability of data, to draw conclusions and to make appropriate recommendations. Ability to assemble items of information in accordance with established procedures. Ability to maintain accurate records. Ability to prepare general reports.
