Job summary

Grand Rapids Community College seeks candidates to teach Applied Low Brass, Trombone Choir, and Performance Class in the Fall and Winter semesters at our downtown campus. Adjunct needs are determined on a semester by semester basis, with classes offered in Hybrid, Online & Virtual modalities.

The ideal candidate will hold a master's degree in Music with trombone/euphonium/tuba as the primary instrument and exhibit strong teaching and communication skills.

Qualifications

• A master's degree in Music is required, with a primary instrument of trombone, euphonium, or tuba.
• Participation in professional development and/or continuous improvement activities in order to remain current in the field.

Responsibilities

• Teach applied private lessons to music majors, general college students, and community members.
• Teach Performance Class (Thursdays 3:15 - 4:15).
• Teach Trombone Choir (Wednesdays 5:30 - 6:30).
• Follow the required syllabus template and meet classes as scheduled.
• Maintain accurate student records and report grades by deadlines.
