Job summary

Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach courses in the Recording Technology program within the Music Department. Adjuncts teach per semester, with courses offered Hybrid, Online, and in-person across varied times.

The ideal candidate holds a Music degree and professional experience; proficiency with Pro Tools/Logic Pro; knowledge of DANTE and live sound workflows; and a commitment to student success and diversity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Music and 5+ years professional experience.
• Experience with large format recording and live sound consoles.
• Familiarity with Reaper or Logic Pro; ethernet-based interfaces and DANTE.
• Knowledge of microphones and recording devices.
• Ability to follow syllabus and meet ADA/FERPA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Teach Recording Technology courses per department needs.
• Prepare and follow syllabus; use required textbooks.
• Assess and report grades by deadlines.
• Maintain accurate student records.
• Accommodate students per ADA guidelines.
