Job summary

The University of New Mexico-Gallup Branch is seeking qualified temporary part-time adjunct faculty to teach lower-division courses (1000–2000 level) in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Geology, Physics, and related disciplines for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027. Instructors are responsible for all class duties including delivery, assignments, grading, and assessment, reporting to the division chair.

Positions depend on enrollment and course offerings.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in the discipline or subfield for which you are applying.
• A master’s degree or higher in a discipline other than that for which you are applying, and successful completion of at least 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline or subfield for which you are applying.

Responsibilities

• Teach face-to-face classes and/or develop lower division courses (1000–2000 level) as specified.
• Meet with students during assigned times, deliver content, and assign/grading work.
• Assess student learning as outlined by the division chair and report grades.
• Positions contingent on enrollment and course offerings; may be filled/eliminated each semester.
• Report to the division chair.
