Responsibilities

• Provide supervision of respiratory care students in clinical and/or classroom settings.
• Instruct both hands-on and theoretical components; manage clinical aspects of student progress.
• Perform administrative tasks including reports, clinical documentation and student evaluations.
• Assess student performance regularly and maintain records of attendance, grades, and progress.

The Adjunct Professor of Reparatory Care provides supervision of respiratory care students in the clinical and or classroom setting. Instruction includes hands on and theory, clinical management of students, and administrative tasks which may include reports, clinical documentation and student evaluation. Must possess high standards and will be required to assess student performance on a regular basis, maintain records of student attendance, grades and progress.

This position will be located on the Midlands Technical College Airport Campus.

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited institution and must be credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. The candidate must hold a current SC license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and be an active member of the American Associate for Respiratory Care. A minimum of two years of critical care experience required.
• Bachelor's degree with two (2) years of teaching in an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
