Job summary

PEC seeks an instructor to provide quality instruction to students through well prepared classes, relevant assignments, fair and holistic assessment of learning, and clear documentation of student progress; you will support at-risk students and help ensure program learning outcomes are met.

Your duties include teaching assigned courses, preparing all course materials, posting and maintaining schedules, grading and record-keeping, responding to student questions within 48 hours, and coordinating

Qualifications

• Requires two years teaching experience for undergraduate courses; five years for graduate courses.
• Master's or Doctorate in relevant field from regionally accredited institution.
• Background check required; submission of resume and unofficial transcripts may be requested.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses.
• Prepare course materials and lessons.
• Provide clear course expectations, evaluations and timelines.
• Offer relevant assignments demonstrating learning outcomes.
• Engage, challenge and support students while maintaining mutual respect.
• Complete assessments, grade books, and final grade sheets.
• Respond to student questions within 48 hours.
• Identify and refer at-risk students to academic support services.
• Ensure learning outcomes are delivered per syllabus and maintain labs.
