Job summary

North Central Texas College is seeking an Adjunct Professor- Accounting (Technical) to teach on-campus and online Technical Accounting courses. The position emphasizes student success, professional communication, and adherence to the college mission.

The ideal candidate will hold an Associate or Bachelor’s in Accounting and bring 3–4 years of related work experience (bookkeeping, auditing, forensic accounting, managerial or staff accounting). Courses are scheduled during the day on campus.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• Must be willing to teach online.
• 3 years related work experience in bookkeeping, auditing, forensic accounting, managerial accounting or staff accounting.
• 4+ years’ related work experience in bookkeeping, auditing, forensic accounting, managerial accounting or staff accounting. Online teaching experience. College teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach Technical Accounting courses on campus.
• Focus on student success and outreach.
• Active involvement in institutional effectiveness including student learning outcomes and program outcomes.
• Other duties as assigned; schedule may vary with department needs.

Job Summary

It is the responsibility of the teaching faculty to provide learning activities and support that will lead to the achievement of course and program objectives and to contribute to the overall educational environment of the college and community and to provide related services such as academic advising, committee participation, professional development, community development as well as other service support that is needed in the fulfillment of the North Central Texas College’s Mission.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Treats students and colleagues with respect.
• Teaching college courses in Technical Accounting classes
• Focuses teaching and outreach efforts on student success.
• Active involvement in issues of institutional effectiveness including student learning outcomes, program level outcomes, and marketable skill achievement.
• Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may changes based on the needs of the department and the institution.

Classes scheduled during the day, on campus depending on enrollment.

Required Education

Preferred Skills & Abilities

Required Experience

3 years related work experience in any of the following areas: bookkeeping, auditing, forensic accounting, managerial accounting or staff accounting.
