Purpose of Role
SUST/IND 338 Food and Agriculture Issues: The course integrates the science associated with food production with the social, political and economic issues influencing agriculture, food processing, distribution and access, safety and policy. Current and future use of sustainable practices in agriculture, labor and immigration issues and global food distribution will be discussed.

Joining our Global & Local Sustainability team, the Adjunct Professor will be responsible for the following:
Skills
Adjunct faculty member to teach a course in Food and Agriculture Issues for students of all majors during Fall 2025 semester. This course will provide an overview of the environmental impacts of conventional and sustainable agriculture, the social issues with labor in the food supply chain and access to healthy foods across different communities, and domestic and global economic issues related to food production, trade and food safety.
