Job description

Position Overview

Adjunct / Part‑time Faculty, Engineering Technology. This temporary, part‑time role involves teaching undergraduate courses in engineering technology for selected semesters. The position does not accrue benefits and the number of hours per week varies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and update course syllabus and related materials.
  • Prepare lectures, projects, and other student assignments.
  • Attend all scheduled class periods and maintain regularly scheduled office hours.
  • Grade student assignments and examinations promptly.
  • Submit mid‑semester progress reports and final grades in accordance with university regulations.
  • All finalists will be subject to a criminal background check.
Minimum Experience and Education
  • For undergraduate courses: a doctorate or master’s degree in the teaching discipline, or a master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline.
  • For graduate courses: an earned doctorate or terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline.
  • Highest earned degree is generally preferred; competence, effectiveness, and capacity—including related work experience, professional licensure or certifications, honors, awards, and evidence of documented teaching excellence—are also considered.
