This is a CONTINUOUS recruitment for an applicant POOL to fill part-time/adjunct assignments on an as-needed basis. Departments or Divisions will refer to the POOL of applications on file to fill temporary assignments as the need arises. You will be contacted by the hiring manager should the department/division be interested in scheduling an interview. ADJUNCT – MUSIC :
The purpose of this position is to teach assigned courses in a variety of times and locations in response to institutional need, and maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community. The Associate of Arts in Music prepares students to complete a Bachelor of Music degree in music, music theory and composition as well as music education. The curriculum at Del Mar College seeks to challenge, empower and inspire students while meeting their diverse needs as they strive to become performers, composers, educators as well as integral members and leaders of the music industry and community. Courses may include online courses and/or dual-credit/early college classes.
Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the discipline.
Demonstrate skill, knowledge, and abilities in the teaching discipline.
Successful college teaching experience experience utilizing instructional technologies, including computers, internet resources and other appropriate media in instruction.
Applicants must reside in the state of Texas and be eligible to work in the United States.
