General Summary: The primary responsibilities of the faculty are to teach and to develop the curriculum. Faculty must stay knowledgeable about advances in their disciplines, learning theory, and pedagogy. Their portfolios should include contributions to program development and evidence of ongoing professional development.

Requirements: Master's degree in music or music education. Applicants should have strong communication skills, post-secondary teaching experience, relevant work experience, and knowledge of industry-related software and certifications, where appropriate. Degrees must be from an accredited institution.

Duties:

• Teach and develop the curriculum, prepare course outlines, develop and measure learning outcomes, assess student performance, and maintain grade records.
• Create an effective learning environment using various instructional methods.
• Collaborate on the development and assessment of learning outcomes for program reviews and curriculum revision.
• Participate in professional development, department meetings, and college projects.
• Assist in developing promotional materials for the program/disciplines.
• Support college goals and perform other duties as assigned.

Clearances: Current criminal record/child abuse clearances are required if offered the position, including Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Records Check, and FBI Criminal Background Check. Instructions for obtaining these are provided by the College.
