Lamar University invites applications for Adjunct Faculty in the Mechanical Engineering Department to teach undergraduate and/or graduate ME courses. Appointments are semester-by-semester based on instructional needs, with a focus on high-quality instruction and student success.

Successful candidates will teach assigned courses, develop materials, evaluate students, and maintain records. Strong communication and mentorship skills are essential for fostering a student-centered learning

Qualifications

• Master's degree in mechanical engineering or closely related engineering discipline required.
• Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver assigned undergraduate and/or graduate Mechanical Engineering courses and develop instructional materials.
• Maintain course records and submit grades on time; communicate with students and department.
