Job summary

University of California, Berkeley invites applications for a pool of temporary, part-time instructors to teach engineering management topics in the Master of Engineering program (Berkeley MEng) should an opening arise. Lecturers and TSPs develop syllabi, deliver lectures, and assess students in topics across engineering leadership.

Positions may be semester or academic-year appointments; most TSP courses run in an 8-day bootcamp format, with scheduling flexibly depending on instructional needs

Qualifications

• Candidates must have taught college or graduate students by start date.
• Masters degree or equivalent international degree by start date, or 5+ years of industry experience.
• 2+ years of management or executive level industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop course syllabus and curriculum.
• Deliver lectures and manage class activities.
• Conduct student assessments, projects, and exams; assign grades.
• Hold office hours and provide student feedback.
