Job summary

UC San Diego's Jacobs School of Engineering invites applications for temporary, non-tenure track lecturer positions (Unit 18) in the ENG programs, teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses. Lecturers may affiliate with IDEA Center, the von Liebig Center, the Gordon Center, the E4 Maker Space, or other programs affiliated with the Jacobs School of Engineering Dean's Office.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering or a related field (2 years of professional experience may be substituted for the degree requirement).
• Minimum of one quarter or semester teaching one or more courses, either as Instructor of Record or as a Teaching Assistant. Equivalent industry experience such as presenting seminars or conducting trainings may be substituted for teaching experience.
• Ph.D. in Engineering or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in ENG programs.
• Affiliations with IDEA Center, von Liebig Center, Gordon Center, or E4 Maker Space may occur.
• Contribute to curriculum development and student mentorship.
