Job summary

University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) invites applications for an adjunct faculty position supporting the Construction Management Technology program at the Universities at Shady Grove in Rockville, MD. Adjuncts typically teach one to two courses with a focus on construction practice, building systems, structures, cost estimation, or construction safety.

The role requires teaching in the afternoon/evening, under the Regional Director, and may involve additional duties.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Industry certifications and/or experience.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
• Commitment to equity and inclusion in teaching.

Responsibilities

• Teach Construction Management Technology courses in construction practice, building systems, structures, cost estimation, or construction safety.
• Courses scheduled Monday – Friday in the afternoon and/or evening.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
