JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Department of Philosophy at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for Adjunct Lecturer openings.

Job Duties

• Part-time Lecturers will teach undergraduate courses in Philosophy.

• Candidates with Ph.D. degrees in the discipline may also be assigned to teach upper-level undergraduate and graduate courses.

Requirements and Qualifications

• A Master's degree in a related field is required .

• In addition, successful candidates must either have demonstrated a commitment to building an inclusive, equitable , and diverse campus community, or describe one or more ways they would envision doing so, given the opportunity.

The start date for Fall 2026 appointments is August 24, 2026 . These are one semester, non-tenure track appointments with the possibility of reappointment.
