Macomb Community College invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor/Tutor in the Respiratory Therapy Program. Adjunct instructors provide instruction using in-person, virtual, or hybrid formats as assigned and communicate with students while assessing their learning and grades.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Respiratory Therapy in the State of Michigan required.
• Active RRT credential from the NBRC.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience required.
• Teaching experience desirable.

• Participate and actively cooperate with the department and learning unit to meet accreditation standards.
• Work in collaboration with faculty in areas of teaching and curriculum development/revision as required.
• Hold office hours per collective bargaining agreement.
• Assist in facilitating student clinical and or lab experiences as required.
• Use relevant and up to date examples and case studies to reflect current evidence-based practices.
• Assist in course assessments that will accurately measure achievement of student learning outcomes as assigned.
• Actively participate on college committees and perform related duties and activities necessary to conduct the work of the area as assigned.

Macomb Community College adjunct professors provide instruction to students of established materials using in person, virtual and or hybrid methods as assigned by the course. Adjuncts communicate with students and provide assessment of student’s learning and grade.

Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy. Must have RRT Credential and Respiratory Therapy License from the State of Michigan, plus a minimum of five (5) years’ experience as Registered Respiratory Therapist.
