Spartanburg Community College invites applications for an adjunct instructor to teach English Composition (ENG 100). The successful candidate will work with a diverse student body across multiple campus locations and day-time schedules.

Responsibilities include following the syllabus, employing varied teaching methods, using the LMS for grading, and contributing to ongoing program improvement. A commitment to equity and student success is essential.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in English, Secondary English, English Education, Language Arts, Literature, and demonstrated competence in the teaching discipline.
• Master’s degree in English, Language Arts, English Education, or Literature. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations representing a wide range of abilities, ages, nationalities, and cultures. Teaching experience at a two-year college and/or teaching experience in adult education. Experience teaching with instructional technology, knowledge of, and demonstrated ability to implement innovative teaching strategies.
