WEATHERFORD COLLEGE is seeking an Adjunct (General Education) faculty member to join their continuous recruitment pool for teaching positions. This role involves providing instruction in various learning formats, including face-to-face, hybrid, and online courses.
The ideal candidate must have a Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or 18 graduate semester credit hours in the discipline. Responsibilities include assessing student performance, maintaining effective learning environments, and adhering to college policies.
This continuous recruitment adjunct faculty position will add the applicant to a pool for consideration when a need arises in the academic year. When an opening occurs, the hiring manager will draw from the pool of applicants on an as needed basis. Should your qualifications be reviewed positively, you will be contacted.
Primary duties of adjunct faculty include teaching courses in the approved discipline, providing instruction to facilitate student acquisition of the specific learning outcomes identified for the assigned courses, and mentoring students inside and outside of the classroom. The adjunct faculty member creates and maintains an effective learning environment in the modalities of the courses assigned, which may be face-to-face, hybrid, online/Zoom, or within the context of dual credit instruction. Hours vary depending on the need and course schedule and may include day, evening, and/or weekend instruction. Faculty are expected to maintain familiarity with and adhere to College policies and procedures.
All faculty members must provide minimum Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) credential standards which normally include an earned Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline. Transcripts, certificates, and/or license must be submitted with application.
Minimum 4 semesters college-level studio art experience in painting class(es) with enrollment of traditional and non-traditional age and demographic student representation.
This position is designated as a security sensitive position and requires a satisfactory criminal history background check.
