Job Summary

Adjunct Sociology Instructor to teach asynchronously via the Canvas learning management system starting Spring Semester 2027.

Salary

$1,123 per Equivalent Credit Hour (ECH).

Essential Functions

• Teaches assigned courses in accordance with course competencies and syllabi.
• Develops and/or utilizes a variety of instructional strategies, techniques and delivery methods designed to meet the individual learning styles of students.
• Fosters a safe and civil learning environment.
• Informs students about course requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance policies.
• Monitors, evaluates, and documents student attendance, progress and competency attainment.

Required Qualifications

• Master of Sociology or any master’s degree with 12 graduate semester credits in Sociology.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Desired Qualifications

• Teaching experience.
