All faculty positions have as their primary objective to create adynamic teaching/learning environment for our students, whilecontributing service to the college. Faculty responsibilitiesinclude teaching assigned courses and following the coursedescription and course outline established by the department.Teaching schedules may include day/evening courses andonline/hybrid instruction and other instructional modalities. Inaccordance with the Adjunct Faculty collective bargaining agreement( CBA ), additional activities may include participation indepartmental initiatives, evidence of academic achievements,recognition by professional and community organizations, and otherduties.
A minimum of Master’s Degree in Sociology or relateddiscipline.
Prior college or university teaching experience preferred, as isevidence of scholarly and/or professional activities.
Demonstrated knowledge of discipline with competence in teachingPrinciples of Sociology including current developments andtechnologies in related fields of specialization. Strong verbal andwritten communication skills.
