Job summary

Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) invites applications for an Adjunct Psychology Instructor to teach face-to-face Social Psychology starting Spring Semester 2027. The position requires a strong commitment to student learning and professional conduct.

Teach assigned Social Psychology courses, using varied instructional strategies, monitor attendance and evaluate progress, and maintain a respectful learning environment.

Qualifications

  • Master of Psychology or a master’s degree with 12 graduate semester credits in Psychology.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Teaches assigned courses in accordance with course competencies and syllabi.
  • Develops and/or utilizes a variety of instructional strategies, techniques and delivery methods designed to meet the individual learning styles of students.
  • Fosters a safe and civil learning environment.
  • Informs students about course requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance policies.
  • Monitors, evaluates, and documents student attendance, progress and competency attainment.

Job Summary
