Job summary

Des Moines Area Community College is seeking an Adjunct Auto Collision Instructor for Fall Semester 2026. In this role, you will teach courses in line with established competencies and syllabi. Responsibilities include developing instructional strategies to cater to different student learning styles.

Qualifications

Salary: $1,123 Per Equivalent Credit Hour (ECH)

Essential Functions

Teaches assigned courses in accordance with course competencies and syllabi. Develops and/or utilizes a variety of instructional strategies, techniques and delivery methods designed to meet the individual learning styles of students. Fosters a safe and civil learning environment. Informs students about course requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance policies. Monitors, evaluates, and documents student attendance, progress and competency attainment.

Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree or diploma in subject area.
  • 1.5 years non‑teaching work experience related to the specific course with an Associate’s Degree in the subject area OR 3 years of non‑teaching work experience related to the specific course with a diploma in the subject area.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness working with populations having diverse values and/or coming from varied cultures and backgrounds.

  • Teaching experience.
