Merrimack College invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach General Physics 1 (PHY2201) for Fall 2026. The course meets M/W/F 9:45 AM–11:00 AM from Aug 31 to Dec 18, 2026.
Duties include delivering lectures, administering exams, and grading assignments in a classroom setting. Minimum qualifications: MS in Physics, Mathematics or related field; college‑level teaching experience and experience with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas).

General Physics 1 (PHY2201) – Monday/Wednesday/Friday 9:45 AM – 11:00 AM.
This course runs August 31st to December 18th, 2026. Duties include delivering lectures in a classroom setting, administering exams, and grading students’ assignments.
This position is subject to the successful completion of a criminal background check.
Minimum: $5,000 per 4‑credit course.
Minimum: $3,750 per lab section.
Actual pay will be determined based on candidate qualifications, prior experience, scope of responsibilities, internal equity, and market considerations.
PHY2201 – General Physics 1: First semester of a one‑year introduction to physics, without calculus. Topics normally include vectors, kinematics, Newton’s laws of motion, work and energy, momentum, torque, statics, and circular and rotational motion.
