Troy University in Alabama is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach various Philosophy courses, including Introduction to Logic and Applied Ethics. The role requires a Masters’ Degree in Philosophy or a related field and the ability to counsel students regarding coursework.
Adjunct Instructors will be responsible for managing the courses taught on an as-needed basis, demonstrating flexibility and availability for their assigned courses.
The Adjunct Instructor position is responsible for teaching courses including Introduction to Philosophy, Ethics and the Modern World, Introduction to Political Philosophy, Introduction to Logic, Critical Thinking, Western Philosophy, Non Western Philosophy, Applied Ethics, and Philosophy of Religion. Adjunct faculty members are employed to provide specific courses on an as‑needed basis. Contracts for adjunct faculty members are issued on a semester or term basis. Adjunct Instructors hold the responsibility for the management of courses taught. Adjunct Instructors are expected to be available for a reasonable amount of time for each course taught to counsel students regarding course work.
