Job summary

SUNY Broome Community College is seeking qualified and dedicated candidates for part-time adjunct instructor roles in the Clinical Laboratory Technology Department. The successful candidate will teach and support courses in the Clinical Laboratory Technician and Histological Technician programs, with lectures and labs delivered online and asynchronously.

Applicants should have online teaching experience or willingness to learn, and hold a Bachelor's degree with ASCP certification or NYS license.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field is required.
• ASCP certification and/or NYS license is required.
• Teaching and/or clinical experience working with students is highly desired.
• Candidates should be comfortable in a learner-centered classroom and committed to the community college mission.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction, course management and maintenance, and student support for courses in the Clinical Laboratory Technician and Histological Technician programs.

• Experience teaching in online courses is highly desired.

Applications for Adjunct Instructor positions are accepted on a continuous basis. Candidates are contacted and hired as opportunities arise, depending on the College's needs. Technicalexpertise, laboratory experience, and education in the specialtiesof microbiology and/or histology/pathology is strongly desired based on current course demands. Experience teaching in onlinecourses is highly desired.

Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field isrequired.
• American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certificationand/or NYS license is required.
• Teaching and or clinical experience working with students ishighly desired.
• Applicants should be comfortable in the learner-centeredclassroom and have a strong commitment to the community collegemission.
