The Department of Computer Science at Schreiner University seeks qualified individuals to serve as Adjunct Instructors for undergraduate classes including, but not limited to:
- Teachintroductory or advanced Computer Science courses in areas aligned with departmental needs and instructor expertise.
- Prepare and deliver course content that supports program learning goals andSACSCOC and ABET expectations, including clear syllabi, assignments, assessments, and grading.
- Evaluate and documentStudent Learning Outcomes (SLOs) each semester using department-provided rubrics and reporting templates.
- Participate in the department’scontinuous improvement process, including contributing SLO data, assessment commentary, and evidence of student achievement required for ABET preparation.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and maintain regular communication throughout the semester.
- Maintain accurate grade records and meet all university deadlines and academic policies.
- Perform other instructional duties as assigned to support program quality and student success.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, and EXPERIENCE)
- Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field, withat least 18 graduate hours in computing disciplines.
- Demonstrated ability to teach at the undergraduate level; prior college-level teaching experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population at an MSI/HSI institution.
- Familiarity withlearning outcomes assessment and willingness to contribute to ABET documentation and continuous improvement.
