About this role

Instruct college students in accordance with educational theories and techniques. Develops discipline related curricula, assess student learning, participates in program evaluation, and college activities. Maintains college and department standards in support of the College's mission and strategic plan. Work schedule varies according to teaching assignment. Varies.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Instruct college students in accordance with educational theories and techniques.
  • Develops discipline related curricula, assess student learning, participates in program evaluation, and college activities.
  • Maintains college and department standards in support of the College's mission and strategic plan.
  • Develops, maintains, interprets, and executes administrative procedures and practices.
  • This activity includes developing and maintaining manuals regarding the College's policies, procedures, rules, and standards.
  • Analyzes class and program needs of the College.
  • Determines and recommends the retention or deletion of courses.
  • Develops and coordinates program and course schedules, faculty assignments, and test dates.
  • Maintains calendar as necessary to track these schedules and adjusts as required.
  • Assist students and program curriculum, program and course reviews, and articulation activities.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: Master’s degree in a Health Education, Physical Education or Health-related field OR Master’s degree and 18 graduate semester hours in a Health Education, Physical Education or Healthrelated field.
  • Knowledge of: Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications, Utilize Canvas Learning Management System and other instructional technologies.
  • Ability to: Interact positively with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public.

Pay Rates

Standard hourly rates vary based on the assigned course level and educational credentials. Must have the ability to work a fluctuating schedule to include evenings and weekends.
