Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Health Education, Physical Education, or related field required.
  • 18 graduate semester hours in Health Education, Physical Education, or related field required if only a Master’s degree is earned.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Ability to use Canvas Learning Management System and instructional technologies.
  • Ability to interact positively with diverse populations and varied education levels.
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
  • Transcripts must be official or college-stamped (non-web-based) or non-web copies.
  • US degrees must be from accredited institutions; non-US degrees require evaluation by a NACES member organization with report.
  • Background check and drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct college students according to educational theories and methods.
  • Develop discipline-related curricula.
  • Assess student learning outcomes.
  • Participate in program evaluation and college activities.
  • Maintain standards aligning with the College’s mission and strategy.
  • Develop and implement administrative procedures and practices.
  • Create and maintain manuals on College policies and procedures.
  • Analyze class and program needs.
  • Determine course retention or deletion decisions.
  • Coordinate program and course schedules, faculty assignments, and test dates.
  • Maintain and adjust calendars for schedules.
  • Support students and curriculum reviews and articulation activities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
  • Instruct college students according to educational theories and techniques
  • Develop discipline-related curricula
  • Assess student learning
  • Participate in program evaluation and college activities
  • Maintain college and department standards supporting the College’s mission and strategic plan
  • Develop, maintain, interpret, and execute administrative procedures and practices
  • Develop and maintain manuals regarding College policies, procedures, rules, and standards
  • Analyze class and program needs
  • Determine and recommend course retention or deletion
  • Develop and coordinate program and course schedules, faculty assignments, and test dates
  • Maintain and adjust calendars tracking schedules
  • Assist students and support program curriculum, program and course reviews, and articulation activities
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Master’s degree in a Health Education, Physical Education or Health-related field OR Master’s degree and 18 graduate semester hours in a Health Education, Physical Education or Health-related field
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications
  • Ability to utilize Canvas Learning Management System and other instructional technologies
  • Ability to interact positively with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public
  • Ability to work a fluctuating schedule including evenings and weekends
  • Attached official transcripts, college-stamped student copies, or non-web based unofficial transcripts required; web-based student system transcripts are not accepted
  • United States degrees must be conferred by an institution accredited by an organization recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation
  • Degrees earned outside the United States must be validated by a NACES member organization, with an evaluation report attached before the application closing date
  • May be required to pass a background check and drug screen
